Mama’s House is more than just a place to stay — it’s a piece of our heart, built on the spirit of a woman who taught us the true meaning of hospitality. Since 2023, our family-run home has welcomed guests from around the world, but its story began long before then.
Our mother, She had a gift for making people feel at home. She loved sharing food, drinks and stories. After she passed, her house stood quiet — and that silence didn’t feel right. So, in her honor, we opened Mama’s House, not just as a place to sleep, but as a place to feel welcome, to laugh, to connect, and to experience the warmth of Zanzibar’s people, food and culture.

"Everything was soo awesome. The room for guest had a very comfortable bed, smart tv and shower with hot water :) the garden is so lovely, i love plants a lot and this was really paradise for us. Our host speak english very well and is so nice, he is helpfull human and we really feel like in home. House is located near to Ston town. We can use dala -dala, 8 km and you can join wonderful beaches and a lot of different places. Is no in tourist place and we love it! When you decide chose Mama's house, you can live between local people, talk with them, see their culture and just have fun."
